[There's a rather strange new feather walking around town right now. For one, she seems to have torn off a strip of cloth from around her new-feather dress to blindfold herself, for whatever reason. Despite that, she seems to be getting around just fine...]

[But that's not all! Even if she weren't wearing the blindfold, she's not even trying to watch where she's going. She's too busy leafing through the journal in her hands, occassionally shaking it as though she expects the voices inside to just fall out. And those of you paying attention over the networks have likely noticed that she is holding it upside down as well.]

[In a moment, she stops walking and lets out a very small sigh before stating the obvious to whomever is listening.] I am no longer in the Stendrion Desert, am I.

Did I do something worth being thanked for? [Still wearing a smile, but still rather confused nonetheless.] Yes, I can. Although I'm afraid it is only for my own benefit that I can see such things.

It's just for explaining that to me! It was nice to hear, that I have a soul, and it's a warm color. [ a tiny laugh.

the next part catches her by surprise, though, and she blinks. ] Oh! I guess that's why you said you're dangerous, huh. How... if you don't mind me asking, how do you...?

I am an illusionist. By creating an illusion in the eyes of other creature, my kind is able to separate the soul from the body. It is... usually a horrific and irreversible process.

I should point out, however, that in being a peaceful illusionist, when I feed it causes no harm. The soul has many parts and one of these parts is replenishable. A simple meal or a night of rest will make a creature feel well again.

[ Xion falls silent for a moment, obviously thinking about this. ]

So how are you going to do that here?

[A pause. She hadn't thought that far ahead yet.]

I suppose I could return to doing what I had to do in my own world. I often bargained with the humans and was forced to bribe them in to sacrificing one of their own. I am rather unique in terms of illusionists, so they are not at all accustomed to trusting one.

In order to preserve my own life, I never stayed in one place very long.

But I think you might be a little better off here. As long as you don't hurt anyone, I think you'll probably find some volunteers. You'll have to ask, but I'm sure someone would be willing.
